The third project represented by CUBE<\/strong> in the Cascade Funding Programme<\/strong> of the European initiative Digital On Stage<\/a><\/strong> is SPIN<\/strong>, created by Noemi Vasileiadou <\/strong>and Trochies<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPIN is a dystopian hybrid performance set in a world where table tennis is scientifically reframed as the ultimate, non-violent concentration activity\u2014promised to maintain focus and counter modern distraction. It saturates the media, becomes embedded in every public and private space, and is eventually enforced by law as a universal daily routine. Struggling to communicate with people ecstatically chasing the tiny white ball, P. begins to wonder: how do you say no to something that is \u201cfor your own good\u201d? Through AR gameplay overlays, AI-driven guidance, and reactive sound and visuals, SPIN immerses the audience in a playful allegory that mirrors the protagonist\u2019s struggle between autonomy and surveillance\u2014blurring sport, spectacle, and social control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
